In der Nase mineralische, kräuterwürzige Aromen gepaart mit tropischen Früchten. Dazu weisser Pfeffer und komplexe Aromen von saftigem reifem Pfirsich, Birne, frisch geschnittenen Limetten, Aprikose, Orangenzesten und dem unwiderstehlichen Duft einer Sommerwiese, die in voller Blüte steht. Im Mund eine rassige Frucht sowie leicht würzige, salzige und tiefe mineralische Noten, ausgewogen in eine fein cremige, extraktreiche Konsistenz und eine noble Textur. Eine Synthese aus Kraft und Grazie, Dichte und Eleganz, Charakter und Magie!

Parker: 94/100 - From 21-year-old vines, the 2022 Steingrube Westhofen Riesling trocken comes straight from below Keller's Abtserde and grows on very poor limestone soils topped by a thin layer of calcareous marl of the Dautensatz-Gewanne. Vinified in stainless steel and used 300-liter tonneaux, the wine opens with charming, elegant, bright and aromatic fruit with delicate earthy tones. On the palate, this is a lush and round as well as savory and saline Riesling with long, saline and sharp but ripe acidity. The wine is linear and precise, and although it has aromatic charm, it is still very tensioned and young on the finish. The acidity is finely grained and savory as is the saline and pure finish. 13% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2023.
