Founded in 1996 by Jonny Johansson and three creators with just 10,000 euros, Acne started as a small advertising and design agency in Stockholm, Sweden. True to its name, which stands for "Ambition to Create Novel Expression," Acne is characterized as a creative collective that freely pursues its desired work. One day, they produced 100 pairs of jeans and became a representative denim brand of Stockholm; since 2006, they have spun off their fashion-related business into a brand called Acne Studios, solidifying their position as a contemporary fashion house that encompasses the realms of fashion, culture, and art.
