The Atmos DC30GSE wood gasification boiler is a manually fed log wood boiler from the ATMOS GSE series for central hot water heating systems. With a boiler output of 29.8 kW, it is suitable for buildings with a corresponding heat demand where log wood is used as fuel and the heat is integrated into the heating system via a suitably sized buffer tank.

Technology & Equipment

The DC30GSE operates on the principle of wood gasification with reverse combustion. The boiler features a ceramic-lined combustion chamber, an induced draft fan, separately adjustable primary and secondary air, and electromechanical boiler control. A Belimo actuator is integrated into the boiler logic to limit the flue gas temperature. The standard design is intended for manual ignition.

The GSE design combines a robust steel boiler construction with practical operation for log wood firing. The large loading door makes refueling easier, the induced draft fan supports the combustion process, and the automatic shutdown after the wood has burned out contributes to orderly operation of the fan and boiler circulation pump.

System Integration & Compatibility

The Atmos DC30GSE is designed for integration into a heating system with a sufficiently sized buffer tank. Proper hydraulic integration, return temperature boosting, and suitable chimney draft are important for operation. Planning should be tailored to the building, heat load, buffer volume, and existing heat distribution.

Installation

Installation and integration of the boiler should be carried out by a qualified specialist company. For operation, a suitable chimney, return temperature boosting with a minimum return temperature of 65 °C, and a sufficiently sized buffer tank must be considered. The electrical connection is made to 230 V / 50 Hz.

Notes

Dry log wood with a moisture content of 12 to 20 % is intended for operation. The boiler operates in non-condensing mode and is designed for a boiler temperature in the range of 80 to 90 °C. Operation, cleaning, maintenance, and commissioning should be carried out according to the manufacturer's documentation.
