After graduating from the high school attached to Tokyo University of the Arts, Yoshimi Nakano studied at the Warsaw Conservatory of Music and then at the Juilliard School of Music, where he began his exploration of Scriabin while studying abroad in Poland. After returning to Japan, he won the Osaka Cultural Festival Award and many other prizes for his two performances of the complete sonatas, and is now considered one of the leading performers of Scriabin. This album is the second in the series, following the critically acclaimed first release in 2006, and finally completes the ten sonatas. The composer's multiple structures of color and sensuality, light and darkness, are played with a diverse tapestry of sounds, making this a landmark completion of the complete works that symbolize the age of 2022.
